Your phone doesn’t have an LED or translucent notification bar? Are you kind of bored of notification and ringtone customization on your smartphone? Do you want to be notified of incoming calls or messages only during certain times of the day? Well, good news, because now you can customize your notifications to your heart’s content with Prof Reminders.
Developed by XDA Forum Member dan_ru, Prof Reminder allow users to create profiles for different notification customization and settings, easily, and intuitively. Users can set profiles to react to phone calls, SMS or MMS or any permutation and combination of these 3 within user-defined time periods and battery levels along with optional time delays and intervals. Users can be notified by either default or customizable vibration patterns, ringtones, the camera’s flash, and by screen turning on. Calls can be filtered by ignoring ‘short’ calls, in which the rings are less than a user-defined interval of between 1 to 30 seconds. New profiles can be created by either a convenient wizard or a profile interface. Profiles can be disabled, duplicated, rearranged, and deleted upon long press, and there is also a handy ‘disable’ and ‘enable’ all button located in the top right hand corner.
Prof Reminder will certainly be of great use for many users. Its extensive notification customization from time period to vibration pattern is one testament of Android’s comparative strengths among the other mobile operating systems in the industry. Supporting Android versions 2.1 and newer, Prof Reminder can be downloaded for free from the Play store. So if you would like to know more, check out the original thread for more details.
