Progress of Gingerbread on Salvage-Mod for the HTC EVO

Looks like since the release of the AOSP version of Gingerbread, every single one of our devs has been working on perfecting ports across the site. The EVO (one of the devices likely to receive an official GB update) is not the exception to this development race. The dev team composed by XDA members echoside, Barnacles10, and Bigrushdog have been tirelessly working on this and so far, it looks like they are getting rather close to a good, fully functional port. With a few exceptions like the 4G, HDMI Out, and the camcorder, the Salvage Mod Rom and kernel have the essential things working (voice calls, wifi, BT, both cameras, and more).
If you would like to test drive it, just be advised that the port is still under development, so you may end up running into issues while running it.
Salvage Mod is a group project. Currently it is Barnacles10, Bigrushdog, and I (Echoside). We have been working hard to get this up and running and would like to thank Preludedrew for helping me out on a few issues I ran into while compiling it, ctso and Cyanogen for some of the files I snagged from them. Also like to thank r2doesinc for helping us get 8MP camera working!
