Every XDA member has it’s own place and function within the community. Some create apps, others design themes. But a large portion of XDA members are here for discussion and sharing opinions – and that’s an aspect which is actually missing in the smartphone blogging world nowadays.

We are breaking that habit by introducing a new series of small articles, in which your voice can be heard, your opinion can be told. Every week, we will gather four quotes from the forums. They will all have something to do with the newest smartphone news and development.

If Dell isn’t ready with the Venue Pro then I’d just let Dell take their time to come up with a polished product. It’s clear that they were not ready for the November 8 soft launch. The decision to rush the phones to Microsoft stores led to this PR fiasco.

I keep seeing news in this current Smartphone world about hardware upgrades and basically nothing else. Originality has been in the last years left behind.

What’s so wrong about being app centric anyway? I like the fact that my phone is the most versatile multi-tool I own. A device that can achieve a near infinite number of tasks that fits neatly in my pocket. To me, apps are the real draw for having a smartphone.

The interface fragmentation is actually something most people can deal with. Its the hardware and smartphone capabilities fragmentation that is most disgusting. Buying a brand new smartphone for $450+ and then finding out it will never get an update to a version of Android that had features you want and/or need just turns people off.
