While being rooted and having a custom ROM with all kinds of goodies are great, some users prefer the stock feel of their Android devices and like how they felt right out of the box—bloatware and all. It is with this in mind that XDA Senior Member mtmichaelson created an application to re-install any stock app that was removed with Gingervolt on the LG Revolution.
The application is pretty simple to use, and should be a process everyone is familiar with. Download the .zip, extract it, connect the phone, and run the installer. From there, simply follow the step-by-step instructions in the installer. It should be noted that the installer is in .bat format, so for now it’s for Windows only.
There are a couple of drawbacks, however. You must be on the stock kernel that comes with Gingervolt or on mtmichaelson’s own kernel. Additionally, some of the applications aren’t too compatible with being deodexed, and may not work. As, make a backup before doing anything, just in case something goes wrong.
