ReadItToMe Notifies You of Text and Calls Over Headphones or Bluetooth

If you use your device to listen to music either via headphones or Bluetooth audio, having to take the phone out of your pocket to see who is calling or texting you is probably a common and tedious occurrence. Similarly, if you stream audio while driving, wouldn’t it be great to be able to know not only who was trying to reach you, but also what they wanted to say without having to take your hands off the wheel or your eyes off the road?
Well thanks to XDA Forum Member crazy_fool1’s application ReadItToMe, you can now be notified of who is calling or texting you without even having to touch your device. And if you receive a text message, the app will even read it to you. As if that weren’t enough, ReadItToMe is even able to decipher the nonsensical gibberish that is txtspk. In the developer’s own word:
“Translate’s your text messages into proper english so you can understand whats being read.
With ReadItToMe This:
SMS from John saying: “btw dat woz amazin, I dunno y I wasn’t gonna go lol”
“New message received from John. By the way that was amazing, I don’t know why I wasn’t going to go laugh out loud”
As well as that you can add your own words and translations easily through the UI.”
