Getting rid of bloat is both a basic function and one of the most dangerous functions when rooting. While it’s usually the first thing most people go for when they root, there’s always a chance of an application being highly underestimated in importance and something going seriously wrong.
For members carrying the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S II, there is an easier way than sitting in an IRC chat going through the list of applications on Titanium Backup and asking if it is safe to remove. XDA Senior Member starskyrob brings us a simple tool that will remove all the bloat with one click.
The tool, aptly named Automated Debloater Tool, is written for Windows XP and higher. Unforutnately, those with Macs and Linux boxes are out of luck for the time being. For everyone else, the requirements are:
Phone connected to PC with USB Debugging enabled.
The Ability to hit Y or N.
From there, it’s just running the tool and removing that bloat for good. This is an excellent way for users of stock rooted to get rid of the stuff they don’t want without needing to flash any ROMs or spoil their stock system.
Head over to the Automated Debloater thread and get that bloat off your phone for good._________
