This past Saturday, we talked about how the AT&T HTC One would finally catch up to the other M7 variants and receive its official update to HTC Sense 6. As a quick refresher, the update first made its way to the developer and unlocked variants of the HTC One M7 about three weeks ago. A couple days later, the T-Mobile variant of the HTC One M7 receive its taste. And then last week, the update hit the Verizon and Sprint variants. Now after quite a long wait, the update is finally here for the HTC One M7 running on America’s second largest carrier.
As foretold by HTC’s VP of Product Management Mo Versi earlier this week, the update began rolling out to consumer devices earlier today. The update comes in at a rather portly 673 MB, and it’s presumed to carry the same goodies that we’ve seen before in previous Sense 6 updates such as a revised camera/gallery, improved BlinkFeed, Extreme Power Savings mode, and more.
As is nearly always the case, the update is making its way out to consumer devices via a staged OTA rollout. As such, not every device will be in the initial wave.
Additionally, the update has not yet been captured and mirrored, so there’s no direct upgrading to AT&T’s latest bloat-ridden update just yet. However, XDA Senior Member Wonders_Never_Cease released an unbloated Sense 6 build.
Despite the delays, it’s definitely better to be late than never. Head over to the link above or mash that check for updates button to get in on the action._________
