Rooting Guide for Asus Transformer

At long last, those of you in the US waiting to get your hands on one of these tablets, you had a full 7 minutes to do so upon its release before it went out of stock. For those of you who did manage to score one of these during the door buster event, you will be happy to learn that customization of the deice is indeed possible as root and custom recovery have been achieved. Please be advised however that this method will require you to use adb and do the whole rooting procedure by hand (a great learning experience if you have only done 1 click rooting up until now). The guide is linked to by XDA member Apache14 and it is fairly straight forwardto follow. The best part is that the current method will work even for those of you who decided to apply the OTA update that Asus rolled out shortly after the European release.

Please make sure that you follow the guide down to the T if you don’t want to have any issues. The guie has been amended a couple of times since it was originally writen to account for a few changes that happened since the original release. Also, please leave some feedback if this worked for you.

New root method is out for PRE and POST OTA, with insecure BOOT image and CWM recovery

You can find more information in the guide thread.
