If you find yourself trying to conserve the battery on your Android device, but still notice a battery drain, maybe you’d like to be able to control when your device Autosyncs.
XDA forum member wjax noticed that his Nexus One seemed to be suffering from a lot of battery drain, and after some testing, figured out that one of the most probable causes could be Autosync.
The dev’s idea was to be able to run Autosync at specified times only and also to monitor signal strength and disable APN if under a given threshold. Originally starting out as a proof of concept, wjax has now released the application for free to the Market, also offering the function of linking Autosync to signal level.
