If you find yourself switching between a combination of WiFi and mobile data regularly, you probably know all too well how much of a pain it can be. You also know just how much your battery can suffer if you forget to turn WiFi off before leaving a wireless hot spot. Wouldn’t it be great if your device knew when you were in range of a hot spot and enabled WiFi for you, and then disabled it when you left? Well read on, because XDA Forum Member sebouh00 developed an application that allows your device to do exactly that.
Smart WiFi Toggler continually learns where hot spots are, and manages your WiFi/data connection accordingly. This is done using cell tower triangulation, so you don’t need to worry about GPS-induced battery drain. It also allows you to decide which networks to automatically connect to, shows a notification if a network is down, and gives a log to review later.
The app is completely free, and should work on all devices running Android 2.2 or greater. Be sure to check this one out and leave some feedback for the developer if you’re tired of manually adjusting your settings. Check out the application thread for more information._________
