SD Maid is a handy tool created by XDA member Dark3n, which cleans up useless files left behind on the SD card by apps after they’ve been uninstalled. Its current features include the ability to find and delete incomplete downloads, temporary files, and other detritus that clogs up your storage but can be frustratingly difficult to find and delete yourself.
Since we last wrote about the application, its developer has added a plethora of new features worth noting. First, it is now possible to run the app at a limited capacity on non-rooted devices, something which was previously impossible.
Also added are a tab, which provides system information, possible fixes for Motorola Atrix-specific problems, new icons, ‘clean apps’ and ‘duplicates’ tabs, and the resolution of bugs which were previously causing force-closes.
A free version of SD Maid is available in the Android Market, and can be accessed using the links found in the app thread.___________________
