Earlier this month, the Developer and Unlocked variants of the popular HTC One M7 received their official updates to Sense 6. Not long after, T-Mobile updated its variant to Sense 6 as well. Both of the aforementioned updates brought features that were previously exclusive to the M8 over to HTC’s last year flagship. This included features such as Extreme Power Savings mode, an updated UI, a few updated first party apps, and a refreshed BlinkFeed interface.
Now, this same update is about to make its way to the Verizon HTC One M7. While there’s no official statement from Verizon just yet, HTC has now updated its update support page to state that the update is complete. This means that it has already received carrier certification and its release can be expected imminently. So when will this update hit consumer devices? According to HTC USA Product Manager Leigh Momii, it will happen this week.
The good news doesn’t end with the Verizon variant, however. as the updates for the AT&T and Sprint variants are now undergoing carrier certification. Naturally, these updates will take a bit longer, but since the development and integration work has been already done and they are just waiting for carrier approval, we can’t imagine that it’ll be too much longer.
Verizon HTC One users looking to get in on the update discussion should head over to this thread.
