Sharing XDA Marketplace Experiences

When you are tired of your actual device and want to buy a newer one, you have many options, but for our community, we have a special place called the XDA Marketplace where you can buy, trade, or sell your device with other members.
Please note that XDA does not take any responsibility for the Marketplace. It is simply another tool for members to use, wisely. Read and obey Marketplace rules for an easy, pleasant transaction.
A feedback indicator is shown for every member while on the marketplace, so you can read about previous experiences members had with specific members, giving you more confidence when dealing. However, the single most important tool you will need here is common sense. Here are some recommendations for you:
- Trade at your own Risk.
- No Business links allowed.
- If you trade by PM how do you know the person you are buying from isn’t selling the same item to 10 people? So keep all deals in the open.
- Don’t sell anything but phones / accessories and ensure they are not stolen.
- Use PayPal® whenever possible. You are responsible for your own actions.
- By posting on the MP you agree that you have read, understand and will abide by these rules.
I personally have completed many transactions and never had any problems. For example, I went looking for a HTC Sensation. At the time, there were dozens on the marketplace, so I took my time selecting deals that fit what I was looking for. Then I found one for sale by XDA member dutchschultz. I checked his feedback for previous transactions and contacted him. I followed the rules, and when it was over, we had a great transaction where both were 100% satisfied. Once again, just use common sense and read every detail on every relevant thread until you get exactly what you need.
Again, keep in mind that XDA-Developers.com, its moderators, administrators, owners and legal advisors do not warrant, guarantee or endorse any item offered for sale or trade on this forum.
Want to share your tips on how you make your transactions in the comments? Inexperienced members may appreciate it greatly.
Thanks for reading.
