Recently, we took a quick look at the CyanogenMod Lock Screen Clock cLock. Developed by XDA Recognized Developer (and CyanogenMod UI and Experience Team Developer) DvTonder, cLock delivers a highly customizable and informative clock widget that can be used on your home screen or lock screen (or both). However, not everyone needs so much information in a clock widget. Furthermore, not everyone is running Android 4.2, which is a requirement to run cLock.
So what do you do if you if you’re still on the prowl for a simple and customizable clock widget for your home screen and lock screen? For starters, you can check out Color Clock by XDA Forum Member Eric_Eric_Eric. Now, when I say simple, I mean simple. Eric’s offering displays the time, and that’s all it does. It features a digital readout of the time, and the color can be customized to your liking. It also supports transparency in the selectable color.
While obviously not for everyone, those looking for a simple clock widget should take a look at Color Clock. Those wishing to get started can get the goods over in the application thread. If you wish to build upon Eric’s work, head over to his Github and fork some source._________
