There’s a reason why many games are considered classics. They’re fun, easy to play and they’ve been around for a very long time. So when those games started appearing on Android, of course we, the users, were happy to see our old friends again.
While there are a few versions of the classic game Battleship already available on the Android Market, XDA Member joao12ferreira and a colleague have decided to create their own version and release it to the public.
The game doesn’t deviate from the main point, which is to call out coordinates and see if there’s a piece of the opponent’s ship there. The graphics are simple, easy to understand and players who are opening it up for the first time have the option of playing against Android (aka the computer) or they can head over to the game’s server and play against a live opponent.
The game is still in its infancy, and joao12ferreira has invited anyone who checks it out to point out any bugs or suggest any features they’d like to see in future releases. So far, joao12ferreira has been working on online performance with a recent server update for faster online play.
For anyone who’d like to check the game out, you can find it here in the original thread along with a link to the Markert, screen shots and additional app details._________
