Skyfire 2.0 for Android Released

Skyfire 2.0 for Android Released

XDA forum member psp888 has posted the news that Skyfire 2.0 (beta) for Android is now available!

Following the news of the leaked alpha, Skyfire have launched version 2.0 – the actual beta for the Android platform.

The popular browser is compatible with Cupcake (1.5), Donut (1.6) and Eclair (2.0/2.1) and has been confirmed to work with the Nexus One, Droid Eris, Motorola Droid and HTC Hero devices, to name a few.

Some members have expressed disappointment at the lack of support for flash games and applications, however it seems that Skyfire are currently concentrating on enabling flash video playback.  Nonetheless, the general feedback in Nexus One forum is that Skyfire 2.0 is good for a beta version. Why not download and see for yourself?

Currently only available in North America and the UK, you can download Skyfire 2.0 beta for free in the Market.
