Text messaging is a substantial part of many people’s social life, whether it be having long conversations or sending a quick reminder of an important event. Some may also go as far as to say that their messaging app is one of the most important features of a phone.
Sliding Messaging is a third-party messaging app independently developed by XDA Forum Member klinkdawg, and its main focus is to replace stock messaging apps with an app that is highly intuitive and customizable. The core function of Sliding Messaging is to send and receive text messages, but it is the intuitive and well-polished user interface that is the highlight for many. The app allows you to slide between conversations by swiping left or right on the main screen. Swiping from the left edge of the screen displays all conversations, and swiping from the right edge presents a ‘new message’ screen.
The other main feature of Sliding Messaging is its extensive customization. In-app colors can be user defined as various colors such as blue, orange, or purple. The vibrate pattern of incoming messages can also be selected, and this freedom of choice can also be applied to the notification LED color. Popup replies can additionally be activated, where a new message appears on the screen which can be hidden or replied to.
Sliding Messaging is a well developed messaging app that offers an accomplished user interface and highly flexible and customizable user experience. Available exclusively for free on the Play store, be sure to also visit the original thread for more details.
