SMS – Show Sent Time For Galaxy S i9000

If you’re fed up with your SMS’s showing the received time when they arrive on your phone and want to know the original sent time by the sender, there is a fix for this.

For JPX and JPY firmwares, XDA forum member ykk_five has made an app that fixes the problem – so futures messages will show the original sent time.

You’ll need to make sure that the original Mms.odex is renamed or removed. Download the files in the thread, and copy both Mms.apk and Mms.odex to your SD card. Be careful to rename the original files in /system/app before copying over the replacement files.

If your ROM is deodexed you should use the JPY Mms.apk, if your ROM is stock then the alternate file provided should be used.
