Some Arcade Fun with Mushroom Mouse

Games aren’t all about full HD, 3D graphics that requires a CPU with an abundance of cores *ahem Galaxy S 4 ahem* waiting to be utilized by other, ordinary applications. And why should they be? Sure these specs may be impressive and enhance the gameplay of certain genres as well as making certain tasks just that much faster, but not everyone needs them. Furthermore, there are other folks who aren’t into games may just want to casually waste time or challenge themselves without those full HD, 3D graphics—and Mushroom Mouse does just that.
Developed by XDA Forum Member decentyo, Mushroom Mouse may be classified as an ‘Artsy’ platformer, which showcases graphics that showcasing graphics offer both aesthetics and atmosphere. The player takes control of a little mouse in three different environments, with the aim of collecting as many random items (e.g. cheese and mushrooms) while avoiding and killing hostile enemies (e.g. snakes and bugs) before time runs out. The player has to jump from platform to platform, higher and lower in order to find these items, with a ‘Smell’ meter to guide the mouse in the right direction. There’s also a high scores board to record the scores of each level.
Mushroom Mouse is a simple game with a simple aim, but with a unique aesthetic philosophy. It’s great for killing time on the go, without having to have a charger connected to prevent the battery from being burned through within 10 minutes. The game is compatible with devices running Android versions 2.0 and up, and is available for free in the XDA forums.
