Github is to Android development, what a paint brush is to fine art. Sure, you can create art without paint brushes, but let’s face it, da Vinci used paint brushes. Such is the case with Github. Most developers use it to bring the best of the best to their respective Android devices and some truly legendary projects have their roots in Github commits. For those carrying the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7, your Github goodness is just getting started.
XDA Recognized Developer bedwa has uploaded the stock kernel and stock initramfs onto Github. Other users then decided to join in on the party by posting the entire partition layout for the Tab 7.7. The kernel itself and the initramfs can be used as a base on which to add commits, and the partition layout—also quite useful to all ROM and kernel developers—can be found in the thread.
For more information, links to the Github, the full partition list and all other information, check out the original thread.
