We all remember the good old Activesync for Windows Mobile. A simple and very effective sync program to keep your device, data, and files synced with your computer. Nowadays, things have evolved a bit as most syncing of our important data is done via web, particularly for Android devices. This new sync app, XDA member kovalevfm will allow you to sync files and folders by using Dropbox as your storage. You can utilize your Dropbox account to sync between multiple devices and best of all, it will do all the syncing by itself. The app has a built in scheduler, which is fully configurable and will allow you to set the time at which you would like to sync your files. This is particularly useful for people with slow mobile connections as syncing files in the MB range can take a while and will have a huge drain on battery. Just think about it, if you know that you are going to be home everyday after 7 pm, you can set your app to sync at that time as you will be able to use your wifi connection at home (if you have one). For now, the app will only allow you to upload things into Dropbox, but the dev promises that later releases will have the ability to pull stuf from the online service as well.
Please leave some feedback if you liked this app.
We wrote an app that syncs any files or folders with the help of dropbox according to the schedule.
Now it can only upload files/folders from phone. But it will be able to download from dropbox also soon.
You can find more information in the application thread.
