Samsung released the T-Mobile Galaxy Note less than a month ago, much to the surprise and consternation of the community due to the original Samsung Galaxy Note being released almost a year earlier. Nonetheless, we promptly gave it its own place in our forums a few weeks back. The late release coupled with the arrival of the T-Mobile Galaxy S III gave all the indications of being late to the party.
The Note then hit backorder status late last week, began to disappear off T-Mobile’s website, and Costco placed the Note on closeout, leading many to declare the Note as end-of-life (EOL) less than a month after birth. With the Galaxy Note 2 soon to be released, that declaration seemed all but certain.
Now, the Note has reappeared on their website as “Out of Stock” and T-Mobile has issued a brief statement:
The Samsung Galaxy Note is currently out of stock online via www.T-Mobile.com; however the device is still available for purchase at select T-Mobile retail stores.
While that is far from an indication that they have not EOL’ed the Note, expect to see something more definitive as the official launch of the Note 2 approaches._________
