TasKarou Launcher Brings webOS-Style Task Switching to Android Tablets

TasKarou Launcher Brings webOS-Style Task Switching to Android Tablets

Have you switched to an Android device from an HP webOS one, or are you just entranced by the multitasking cards and want it on your tablet? TasKarou Launcher may be just what you’re looking for. Though the name might suggest otherwise, don’t fret if you don’t want to switch from your favorite launcher. TasKarou adds a layer above your current launcher that allows you to swipe your finger on the screen from the left or right edges to activate its task switching interface.

Developed by XDA Member ne0fhyk, TasKarou Launcher is a nifty concept that takes cues from the Quick Controls feature found in the now-outdated Android Browser. The interface is minimal, stays out of your way, and is ready for you to activate regardless of which app you are currently using.

Currently, phones don’t seem to be supported, though it should work fine for tablets running Android 3.1 or later. To learn more about the TasKarou Launcher or to download its APK directly, head over to its forum thread. You can also grab the app from Google Play Store.
