TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP) Available For The EVO 3D

Recovery mode is the heart and soul of most of the custom work done on devices found on xda-developers. If you are a Matrix fan, you can relate the Recovery to that “loading” program where they got all of their weapons and accessories (reference to the “guns, lots of guns” scene). From this mode, you can do a myriad of things such as flashing custom roms, themes, radios, apps, clear battery stats, cache, dalvik, and much more. The biggest player on this is CWM (Clock Work Mod), which was created by XDA member Koush. This has been re-created for almost every Android device out there by several members across out site. There are others who prefer to use other recovery images as they have better compatibility with other devices. Based on this and on the work of XDA Recognized Developer Amon_RA, XDA member AssassinsLament shows us the latest release by TeamWin. TWRP is a new recovery, which was done from scratch and it was specifically designed for the EVO 3D. The interface is sleek and intuitive while maintaining and improving on certain functionality aspects such as the ability to search as well as rebooting automatically after a successful flash.
There are still a few bugs present in there, one of which was affecting the capacitive buttons. Please take it for a spin if you have a rooted EVO 3D and let the devs know what you can find via your feedback.
TeamWin Recovery Project, or twrp for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind. We started from the ground up by taking AOSP recovery and loading it with the standard recovery options, then added a lot of our own features that we deemed missing from current recoveries. After a lot of hard work for weeks, we are happy to announce the release of twrp
