Q‘I recently started having lag, slowdown and non-responsive touchscreen (I’d have to wake my device many times before it started responding). Last evening, it stopped responding completely. I pulled the battery and booted back to Windows, only to see that that touchscreen wasn’t working even there! Is this a software problem?’
A I had the same problem a few months back. It is certainly a hardware fault. I had this problem before Android was available on our HD2s. I used task29d, flashed to a stock ROM and reverted to stock SPL. Nothing fixed it so I had to send it back to T-Mobile.

Q‘In Android, is there any way to remove the stock messaging app and replace it with one downloaded from the Market?’
A If you have NAND unlocked, and I’m pretty sure you do, you should be able to find the Messages app in /system/app (I think it should be there) and remove it. There is one problem with that and that is I’m not sure if it could cause system instability. There are some apps you should never remove. I think Messages is safe, but not entirely sure.

Q‘Is there any way to block specific apps from using my data connection?’
A Try the Droid Wall application [external link].

Q‘After upgrading to the new ATT Tilt2 ROM, I’ve lost the ability to have new text messages read out loud. I’ve got the option set to Announce New Messages, and it’ll still read new emails coming in, but not text messages… Does anyone know of any menu or registry setting that might restore the reading of text messages?’
A Navigate through Start > Settings > Personal > Voice Command,hHighlight Messaging, tap Options, and uncheck the box that says ‘high priority messages only’.
