ThemeMachine Gives a Helping Hand when Porting Themes

Theming for Android can be an incredibly time consuming and often monotonous process. The amount of files and edits involved in making even simple can changes can be significantly more than you might initially expect. Wouldn’t it be great if there were a way to automate the task of swapping out .png after .png when attempting to port a theme from one device to another? ThemeMachine by XDA Senior Member luxxx123 does exactly this.
If your faced with the task of transferring your work (or someone else’s, assuming you have permission) from one device to another, ThemeMachine allows you to transfer as many image files as possible in one bulk action. The tool itself is a Windows executable, which runs on XP and upward. Simply run the script, specify your base APK and your target APK, then let ThemeMachine automatically transfer all of the images which are present in both of the APK files. All the specifics of how to fully use this tool and exactly how the process works are covered in detail by the developer.
This isn’t an instant one-click solution to transferring a theme, though. You’ll still be faced with the task of rummaging through .xmls and tying up loose ends. However, it will make things significantly less tedious. Be sure to check out the original thread for more information if you’re partial to a little theming.
