Themer Forums Added

Along with the gang at MyColorScreen, we’ve been working on a new (non-root) app for one-click Android theming called Themer (now on Google Play). The themes apply with all wallpapers, icons, widgets, and launcher settings pre-configured. It’s still in closed beta, and the team is constantly adding new features and more themes. Themer requires an activation code to actually use right now (which you can sign up for at ThemerApp.com). There is a wait list to get a code, but we know the devs are trying to speed up the pace of getting those out.

The Android theming forums here at XDA are extremely popular, and we know there are lots of amazing tools out there that help people customize their home screens. Themer isn’t trying to replace all those. In fact, you’ll find it missing some features from the top launchers. But it does make the whole process easier and more streamlined. It’s for people who want the pretty without all the work.

Several people have asked for a Themer forum here on XDA, where they can talk about the app and share zips of themes they have created with it. We are launching this today, and you can find it here.

Themer supports devices running Android 4.1+. If you’re running a ROM that alteres the DPI or available screen pixels, then you might have problems getting themes to show in the app. Themer supports the follow screen resolutions:
  • 1920×1080
  • 1920×1080+soft keys
  • 1280×720
  • 1280×720+soft keys
  • 960×540
  • 960×540+soft keys
  • 800×480
Here are several videos that show off what Themer is and how to use it:
