Our devs put a tremendous amount of time and effort to get all the goodies that we enjoy daily in our devices. Most of these would not be possible without hours upon hours of fiddling and messing with hundreds of files, apps, and everything that may go inside a Rom. Luckily, there are people who also contribute tremendously for the dev’s sake (and sanity). XDA member omniwolf decided to take an approach to repackaging the apks before cooking a Rom. This is a tedious process that must be done one by one, and by hand. So, the dev came up with a script to do the packaging for him. After that, he decided to expand the concept into being able to process multiple apks at once. Needless to say that for those chefs who still like to do their cooking by hand, this may prove to be an invaluable tool, particularly for those with families and jobs that may require their time.
If you are a chef and find this useful, please leave some feedback for the dev.
I was speaking to baadnwz a couple of weeks ago and i asked him which script he used to properly pack all the APKs in his ROM. He told me he used no script, just repacked the APKs he thought were most relevant.
