TouchPal X Brings Excitement to Your Typing Experience

Have you ever sent a message, only to have the words mangled by lazy Swyping? I once sent a message telling my carpool buddy that I “put his lung in the refrigerator,” when I was actually trying to say that I put his lunch in the fridge. But with XDA Senior Member TouchPal’s TouchPal X application, this will happen no more.

TouchPal X’s Curve input, which uses the same word gesture dragging paradigm as Swype, performed better and more intuitively in my usage. They also offer another option with the Wave sentence gestures technology. Just start typing, and it will try and predict what word you mean. Then, you slide down on that word to confirm. The best part is you don’t have to change any settings to switch between these options. To use Curve, just start dragging across the letters in your word, and to use Wave, start typing your word.

These are not the only features in TouchPal X either. It has voice input, quick gesture access to symbols, a one-handed mode, and different themes. I installed the Hello Kitty keyboard theme. There is quick access to Emoji emoticons as well.

To learn more about these gestures and to speed up your touchscreen typing, check out the application thread.
