If you like your applications to be lightweight, simple, and fulfil their main purpose without being bogged down by a load of unnecessary bells and whistles, Tweedle is one to check out. It’s a Twitter client developed by XDA Member HandlerExploit due to the need for, in his own words, “a better, cleaner and faster Twitter client for Android.”
The application itself is exactly that—clean looking (almost vaguely reminiscent of the MetroUI), and quite fast. While it’s still at a very early stage of development, with some features yet to be added, this is a fantastic app that has a great deal of potential. All the basic twitter functionality is there, but some functions such as retweets with comments and filtering are currently missing. In the longer term, the developer states that the app will receive tablet support, multiple account support, configurable pages, and a widget. There is one rather notable feature that is already included in the app though, and that is the ability to change the color scheme to one of your choosing via a color picker.
The app is ad-free, will run on Android 2.1 and above, and can be found in its application thread._________
