Two Mods for the Droid X2 Promises Increased 3g Data Speeds

One of the most common complaints with cell phones that the 3g speeds aren’t up to par. That’s not even just Android phones, but basically all web enabled phones. It’s not always the fault of the carriers. Oh wait, yes it is.
For those carrying the Droid X2, there are a couple of mods out there that, when applied, can help boost 3g speeds. Will they be like 4g speeds? Likely not, but they’ll at least be more tolerable.
The creator of the mods, XDA Senior Member motcher41, has released the two mods which, when applied correctly, has been shown to improve your 3g speeds. Either one alone does it, but both together gives you just that extra boost you’ve been looking for.
The process is relatively simple and only requires a few build.prop changes and file swaps. Anyone with ES File Explorer can pull it off. Of course, don’t forget to make a backup first, just in case something goes wrong.
The process seems to be working for most people, some better than others. As motcher41 says:
One user that was plauged with switch to 1x being reported it being eliminated by the mods
So if you’re toting Droid X2 and want some improved 3g goodness, you can find everything you need in the original thread.
