You may remember that a few months ago, TeamWin released their own recovery image for Android devices. Much like ClockworkMod, Team Win Recovery Project (TWRP) can be used across a wide variety of devices. Thanks to the efforts of XDA Recognized Developer arif-ali, this highly multi-functional recovery image can also be used in the legendary HD2. This recovery image is still a work in progress but it allows the end user to seamlessly do all the customization that he/she is used to and much more. TWRP specializes in handling partitions in a much more thorough manner than other recovery images as it allows you to select individual partitions to back up, re-size, and much more. It also allows you to customize the background color of the whole interface, so it does not get boring.
The dev in this case did enough work on the original development to get it going for the HD2 and has so far obtained a rather good resulting port. There are only a couple of minor bugs, which are reported in post #3 of the thread. If you do have an HD2 and would like to help the dev with this, please leave your feedback.
TeamWin Recovery Project, or twrp for short, is a custom recovery built with ease of use and customization in mind.
