Ever wondered what certain apps are doing at a particular time? Or maybe you would like to know which apps are active or become active when data sessions or voice calls are underway. If that is the case, then you may want to check out a little app developed by XDA member x2kjosh. Task Identifier will allow you to get alerts whenever applications, tasks, and functions become active in your device. The app will provide you with enough information to determine if it is safe for you for a task to become active at a certain point in time. For instance, sometimes you may notice that your location is being shared for no apparent reason, and you cannot help but to wonder who wants to know where you are. This app will allow you to make a judgement and either let the task in question continue with what its doing or simply stop it.
The developer is asking for feedback on this. So, if you are interested, please download the free beta and contribute to this project to make the app better.
This is not another Auto Task Killer, no. We are beta testing on Android 2.2 and 2.3 phones for FREE right now a new program which allows the user to specify alert levels to phone tasks and give you insight into what your phone is really doing. Make a call, ever wonder what apps may be listening? What’s going on when you phone is in standby? In creating this, I will say that I’ve been surprised a few times at what is really going on. I want any and all feedback as well as we are trying to make this into something special. I am the actual developer of this app.
You can find more information in the application thread.
