Tossing and turning in bed is the reality for many adults nowadays. The amount of stress that we are put under during our waking days far outweighs any ability to completely rest at night. There is a full branch of science dedicated to studying and understanding sleeping patterns that people go through every day but since not all of us have PhD’s to study and understand what really goes on, we have to depend on other tools to try and make some sense out of our sleeping patterns. XDA member jondwillis has created one of these tools that will allow you to better understand (and even improve) the way you sleep. The device will record any movements that you make during a light sleep night and will sound a gentle alarm to wake you up. The app will record all the data and you will be able to study it, understand it, and hopefully use the new knowledge acquired to improve on your sleeping patterns.
If this sounds like something you may need to use, please drop by the thread and provide some feedback for the dev, so that the app can be improved and fixed if bugs are present.
In an effort to spread its popularity, I though I would share my open-source app, ElectricSleep here. It has been in beta for a couple months and is starting to get pretty stable and more and more feature rich.
You can find more information in the application thread.
