Undervolting Scripts for EVO 4G AOSP Kernels

Here is a nice little set of scripts fort he HTC EVO 4G brought to us by XDA member -viperboy-. The dev explains how most kernels used in the EVO are developed to be universal to many devices and as such, undervolting has to be done in a rather slight manner. Because of this, the kernels that you may be using could be optimized a bit more, which would yield better battery life in the process. -viperboy- has compiled into flashable scripts what he has read in a few development threads about user’s experiences with different values for undervolting, some being more aggressive than others. There is the distinct possibility that your device may become unresponsive or go into boot loops after applying these and the reason is actually rather simple: supplying less voltage than what the processor needs to run will make it act “funny”. If this happens to you, don’t worry because the dev has you covered as well. One of the zip files attached in the thread is to remove these scripts completely and you should be back to normal in no time. Remember that this is only for AOSP kernels. There are some for Sense based kernels as well in a different thread, which is linked in the thread.
What does this do?
Below are 4 flashable .zips that will lower the HAVS voltages of AOSP kernels. This mod will help to increase your battery life by lessening the draw of power the CPU can use. With HAVS, there is a voltage range that a certain CPU speed will use. These scripts lower both the MIN and MAX voltage at each speed, even if your kernel is already undervolted.
