The number of AOSP Jelly Bean releases has slowed considerably over the last few weeks. This is mostly because so many devices already have it, and not many left are truly capable of running it properly. However, there are still ports coming through now and then. One of the latest is for the HTC MyTouch 4G.
The unofficial port comes courtesy of XDA Senior Member elginsk8r. Like most early releases, it is a little unstable, but that shouldn’t scare you away from trying it if you want to see what Jelly Bean is all about. Quite a few things are working, including:
LCD Screen (Both variants)
Camera* (See below)
Currently, the camera is not functional, and there are possibly other unknown broken features. If you do try it and find any issues, feel free to submit a logcat so the issue can get fixed faster. User response has been positive despite the issues.
The problems should be fixed in coming releases, so if you’re waiting for a more stable ROM, patience is the key. For more details, check out the original thread._________
