Use Your EVO 4G As A Desktop (Yes, Your EVO As Your CPU!!)

So, when you bought your HTC EVO 4G, you probably thought to yourself “I am ditching my PC the moment I get my hands on this.” There have been various tools out there that would allow for some PC-like functionality on your EVO, but nothing major and most of them are scattered throughout XDA and even the Android market. XDA member Lokifish Marz has decided to put everything together in a single package/guide in order to show you the true power of your deskEVO. The bundle of apps that he collected are mostly free and are all needed to ensure that you get everything out of your new “Desktop”. This works on CM6.1.2 as it has mouse pointer support. The dev has even posted a video of him using the desktop with mouse, keyboard, speakers, and monitor (needless to say, you will need a monitor with a HDMI port.
Please try this out and leave some feedback if it has worked for you.
I finally finished up the “Desktop” configuration guide showing how to use your Evo as a Desktop PC/Workstation. Above is a pic of what I’ve been using for close to a month now for everything but site updates. It does have it’s quirks but after using it for a while I can over look most of them but the browser still drives me nuts. Most of the apps are free but please support devs and purchase the full versions.
You can find more information in the guide thread.
