Use Your EVO on MetroPCS

If you are one of those lucky/unlucky (depends a lot on personal experience) people to be able to get MetroPCS coverage, you will be happy to read that there are ways to fully utilize your Android devices with the carrier. As long as the phone is flashed by Houdinisoft (done by MetroPCS stores across the country), the phone can be used on their network. However, the drawback is that most data apps will not work with their internet service as the internet settings needed for this cannot be easily input by doing something like adding and APN. XDA member killac93 found the following guide, which addresses all the issues that plagued Android users in MetroPCS. This guide is particularly written for the EVO, so we would not recommend trying this on other Android phones, unless you know what you are doing.
