WakeUp 1.2 Brings New Device Position Monitoring Options, UI Improvements, and More

Earlier this month, we talked a little bit about WakeUp by XDA Senior Member cb56. For those who don’t remember, WakeUp allows you to power on your smartphone or tablet without touching the power button. This is accomplished by using your device’s sensors to detect when your device has been picked up and tilted towards you. This worked quite well in its original form, but like all good products, its developer decided to add in even more functionality.
New in version 1.2, WakeUp now gives users even more control over the device monitoring. This includes the option to monitor your device while the screen is unlocked, as well as the ability to use your proximity sensor to lock the device once in your pocket. It also allows you to suspend monitoring while in a call, as well as disable monitoring and open the app directly from the notification tray. In addition to the functional improvements, the UI also received a bit of a makeover, both within the app and in its included widget.
