We all love our brand new shinny tabs. So much power and functionality that it makes you even wonder why you have a desktop or laptop computer in the first place. The only issue is that if you would like to have true mobility with online access while on the road, you either have to get a 3G version of your tab, which may run you a few extra couple of hundreds of dollars in the price tag, or you may be able to tether wirelessly with it from your phone. Luckily, it seems that Acer Iconia owners will have some hope to find a middle ground thanks to the efforts of XDA member Dexter_nlb. Apparently, after quite a bit of trial and error and lots of testing, he was able to get a few Huawei 3G USB dongles to fully work with the Iconia A500. It seems that the device is working perfectly so far although there were issues originally with some apps that required internet connection to work, although browsing was possible (Google apps in general). However, everything seems to be working smoothly now. Following the procedure for enabling this functionality will allow your tab to display the options required for Mobile Data configuration, which will allow you to add/edit your APN (the information needed for your device to be able to connect to your carrier).
Please make sure that your A500 is rooted and that you have made a proper NANDROID back up before attempting this. Please leave some feedback for the dev.

you will need to have root’d your device. and this might break a system-update, if any of my files are updated during next OTA..
