Want to Play with Android Wear without Setting up the Emulator? Here’s a System Dump

By now, most developers interested in creating apps for Android Wear have already installed the developer preview and possibly even obtained root access on the Wear emulator. However, not everyone wishes looking to mess around with Wear wants to bother with downloading the Android SDK and installing the appropriate packages.
What if all you really want to do is to port some of Wear’s goodies to other devices? Then what you really want is a system dump. Luckily, XDA Senior Member Ashutos1997 has uploaded a dump of the KCU76F build from the Android Wear emulator for your porting pleasure.
Obviously, this dump is of absolutely no use to end users, as you can’t simply flash it on any device. But since it contains all the software goodies from the current emulator build, it can be used for your porting pleasure.
Will we see Android Wear ported over to last year’s Galaxy Gear? Only time will tell. Developers should make their way over to the original thread (and this post containing the Wear APK) to get started. Now get to porting!
