WebOS for the Hero? Soon…

It seems that ever since the introduction of mobile devices into this world, crowds and masses have enjoyed a wide variety of OS flavors, depending on their needs and lifestyle. However, due to the relatively high prices on these “toys” most people can only afford to have one or two, which limits the amount of playtime one gets with other available OS systems. Because of this, maybe a bit of boredom, and the eternal quest to get the most out of our investments, projects like this one are born. Starting a new discussion and resource thread, XDA member mrinehart93 has decided to bring forth a project to have webOS ported to the HTC Hero. This new Frankenstein would, when completed, allow people who are used to Palm’s new OS to switch back and forth between Android and WebOS.
Keep in mind that this is still in very early stages of development, but it should be possible to accomplish this for such a great device.
Hey guys. I’m just starting this thread now so that we can collaborate on attempting a port of WebOS (Palm Pre/Pixi operating system) to our HTC Hero. I know there is another thread about porting WebOS in here, but that was more of a discussion to get people interested. So this thread will be for collaboration and development.
Interested? Drop by the discussion thread and see if you can help out with anything.
