Every week, we select five questions and answers, found on the forums. Even though some of these questions and answers might not be of help to you, they might still be interesting to read.
Q‘Is it possible to use turn my Vibrant memory card into a flashable USB drive. I’m trying to download things such as Ubuntu and Windows 7?’
A This is highly advised against but you could turn the external SD into a flashable drive and use the Vibrant just to store it.
Q‘I love XBMC on my home Ubuntu PC, and I know it is Tegra2 enabled, but will it be installable onto the Eee Pad Transformer?’
A If you can get Ubuntu running on it, sure. Otherwise, barring an Android port you can forget about it.
Q‘I just got my replacement 32GB today and everything’s great. Minimal light bleed, no flexing. The problem with the left and right channel not balancing still exists though. Just wondering if ASUS confirmed this as a software issue or hardware issue’.
A Not confirmed by Asus but general opinion on the forums is that it might be a hardware issue. It could probably be solved easily with some sort of software audio balance.
Q‘My Galaxy S2 is constantly trying to get GPS fix. Is there any way to find out which program that is responsible for this?’
A Possible cause is the Samsung vingo voice control app. Clicking it auto switches GPS on.
Q‘I saw somewhere that Galaxy S 2 has two different processors. How do I find out which processor my phone has? ‘
A Easiest way to check would be on the box that you got the phone in. If it says 1.2Ghz underneath the Samsung Galaxy S2, then yours is the Exynos, else it’s the Tegra2.
We certainly hope that you can use these bits of knowledge. This site is full of wonderful guides for virtually every question you could have. Read them and put them to good use.
