Long Forum Signatures Giving Your the Blues?

Can’t quite get enough of XDA, can you? That’s OK—neither can we! However, despite the high level of awesomeness present in our little forums, there are still certain irksome niggles caused by users who think that signatures should be paragraphs long. While we’ve previously covered how to disable the offending content entirely, this solution is akin to taking a mallet to a problem better solved with a chisel.
What if we simply wanted to remove one person’s signature image, and leave everyone else’s intact? This is where XDA Recognized Developer Archer comes in. He brings us a third-party plugin of his own creation for Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox to do exactly this. In his own words:
I’ve recently noticed that some signatures on this forum are just getting silly. I’m spending 1/2 my time scrolling crap off my screen just to read the posts. There is an answer to this, and that is to turn off signatures in your user CP. This, however, displeases me as a lot of people actually have worthwhile information in their sigs, usually links to interesting and useful stuff.
So, if I don’t want to turn off everyone’s signature but just turn off a few then what can I do????
Simple. Use the extension I’ve written for Chrome (and converted to Firefox).
Interested in squelching those unruly forum signatures, while leaving everyone else’s intact? If so, head on over to the original thread. The extension is currently in beta, so if you give it a whirl, be sure to leave some feedback.[Thanks M_T_M and TheRomMistress for the heads up!]
