myTouch 3G Slide Section Now Online

We’ve just added the myTouch Slide – successor to the popular T-Mobile myTouch 3G – to the roster of HTC-made devices, which are supported in the XDA forums. This is in good time too, as it seems some of you have already got your hands on one.

The updated model (codenamed ‘Espresso’) is the first Android-powered HTC device since the G1 that features a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. On the hardware side of things, you can expect a five megapixel camera with flash, a 3.4″ HVGA capacitive touchscreen, a 600MHz processor and a 3.5mm headphone jack. With regard to software, the phone will be running Eclair 2.1 with customised software including the popular HTC Sense UI and T-Mobile’s myFaves.

Hop on over to the new section for the device to join discussions and hear insights from those who are using it already.
