Do You Know Everything There Is To Know About Lithium Ion Batteries? If Not, Read This…

One of the biggest gripes that we have with our beloved devices is the fact that their battery life, for the most part, sucks. This is partially because the horse power on our devices has increased substantially over the past few years, but the same cannot be said about the battery technology. Lithium ion batteries have been the standard for mobile devices for the last decade or so, and even though the technology is widely known, there are several misconceptions and urban myths about ways to get more out of the same battery. In order to put a few of these rumors to rest, XDA member Xenova has been kind enough to create a very thorough guide in which he explains and debunks, in great detail, the most commonly known misconceptions regarding this technology.

So, if you were wondering about things such as what is the optimal level for your battery, or maybe what causes it to drain faster, you should definitely take a good look at this guide. The whole thread is filled with rather helpful comments from people who add up to this knowledge pot. So, if you know something that has not been said, please make sure that you throw in your bits of wisdom.

Too many people I’ve met have misconceptions, wrong understanding or simply no idea at all about how to maintain the batteries inside their new spanking new electronic gadgets. More often than not, it will be one of those nifty, super-slim lithium-ion variants. So I decided to write this little primer to help you, erm, I mean, your techno-phobic friends along.

You can find more information in the original thread.
