Do You Know Everything There Is To Know About Lithium Ion Batteries? If Not, Read This…
One of the biggest gripes that we have with our beloved devices is the fact that their battery life, for the most part, sucks. This is partially because the horse power on our devices has increased substantially over the past few years, but the same cannot be said about the battery technology. Lithium ion batteries have been the standard for mobile devices for the last decade or so, and even though the technology is widely known, there are several misconceptions and urban myths about ways to get more out of the same battery. In order to put a few of these rumors to rest, XDA member Xenova has been kind enough to create a very thorough guide in which he explains and debunks, in great detail, the most commonly known misconceptions regarding this technology.
So, if you were wondering about things such as what is the optimal level for your battery, or maybe what causes it to drain faster, you should definitely take a good look at this guide. The whole thread is filled with rather helpful comments from people who add up to this knowledge pot. So, if you know something that has not been said, please make sure that you throw in your bits of wisdom.

You can find more information in the original thread.

It's not often I look at a product or service and say "I really really hope this isn't real, and it's an elaborate fake". Alas, this day has come. It's time for a look at something which cropped up on my radar today, namely a service called FileThis. I won't do them the search-engine-ranking honor of providing a direct link to their site, but a quick search will find them, and their app on the Play Store and iTunes store....
More and more smartphone manufacturers have been moving towards on-screen buttons, with Google really pushing for it over the physical button alternative. However, there are still a few OEMs (we're looking at you, Samsung) that have preferred to keep things a bit more traditional. Tell us which way you prefer and why.
