If you’re looking to overclock you Motorola Droid 2, look no further – XDA forum member darkonion has posted a comprehensive tutorial on running his overclocking script dooverclock.sh for Windows, Mac and Linux users.
The tutorial also covers the Motorola Droid X. darkonion states that if you get a permission error through adb shell, use the Terminal Emulator app and enter SU, then run the script again.
Feedback so far is that it runs pretty stable above 1GHz, but you must re-run after each boot.
