Dual-Boot Nookie-FroYo And Un-Rooted Stock
XDA forum member japzone wanted to be able to Dual-Boot from the MicroSD card and choose to boot either to Nookie FroYo or Un-Rooted Stock. The reason for Un-Rooted Stock is so that the XDA member wanted to be able to receive the B&N updates.
With the help of another XDA member Rookie1, Nook Color owners can now try out dual-booting between FroYo and Stock!
Now whenever you turn on your Nook Color, you have three options:
- Power On normally for Nookie FroYo/Honeycomb
- Power On and hold Home button for Stock
- Power On and hold Vol+ and Vol- for Recovery
Pre-requisites include a working Nookie FroYo or Honeycomb MicroSD card, and the u-boot.zip file.

More and more smartphone manufacturers have been moving towards on-screen buttons, with Google really pushing for it over the physical button alternative.
