Dual-Boot Nookie-FroYo And Un-Rooted Stock

XDA forum member japzone wanted to be able to Dual-Boot from the MicroSD card and choose to boot either to Nookie FroYo or Un-Rooted Stock. The reason for Un-Rooted Stock is so that the XDA member wanted to be able to receive the B&N updates.

With the help of another XDA member Rookie1, Nook Color owners can now try out dual-booting between FroYo and Stock!

Now whenever you turn on your Nook Color, you have three options:

  1. Power On normally for Nookie FroYo/Honeycomb
  2. Power On and hold Home button for Stock
  3. Power On and hold Vol+ and Vol- for Recovery

Pre-requisites include a working Nookie FroYo or Honeycomb MicroSD card, and the u-boot.zip file.

For more information, check out the modification thread.

I won't do them the search-engine-ranking honor of providing a direct link to their site, but a quick search will find them, and their app on the Play Store and iTunes store....
