In typical XDA fashion, one enterprising forum member has brought similar functionality to Android Wear with a twist; it works on phones and watches alike, with other platforms on the way! The app is called Pinsy, and its release debut is a strong proof of concept with plenty of room to grow. You may remember the developer behind this project, XDA...
Fine Volume Control, Adds A Dial To Volume Dialog
XDA forum member richardop has just released a new Android application that enhances the standard media volume dialog by adding some new functions.
The on-screen media volume dial replaces the default media volume dialog with one that adds a turnable dial to adjust volume and an ability to change the volume level in smaller increments by using the earpiece speaker.
If you ever find that 1 bar of volume is too loud, Fine Volume Control will help solve this issue.
- A fancy volume dial (complete with glow) to use instead of repeatedly pressing the volume buttons.
- A finer volume setting that effectively lets you go below 1 bar of volume by redirecting sound to the earpiece speaker when you drop below the threshold marked on the slider.
- Mute and disable buttons
- Dialog visual styles

For the longest time, I was not able to recommend the platform to anyone. Since then, a lot of updates have hit Wear watches, some improving battery life, others changing the...
