It seems that mobile software development has seen quite a lot of progress in its multitasking abilities. This is largely due to sidebar apps such as Sidebar, Glovebox, and SidePanel. XDA's also pitted them against each other to help you determine which deserves a spot on your mobile device. Now, XDA Senior Member onexuan has dished up a duo of floating multitasking functions in an app called OneQuick.

OneQuick consists of two main components that enhance multitasking. The first is the sidebar, which we all now should be familiar with. The second is a floating settings toggle menu. Docking to the left, the bar allows access to shortcuts of apps and settings chosen by the users, with a simple plus symbol on the bottom allowing the addition of different settings toggles, third party apps, and system apps. However, the bar is eerily similar to Sidebar in its aesthetic and animation philosophies. Nevertheless the quick bar works like a charm, fluidly and pleasantly.

However, it is the floating settings toggles that's a more hallmark feature of OneQuick. The second component is a practical, yet simple way of toggling the major settings of your Android device without having to either access the settings menu or stretch your fingers all the way up to the status bar to access the quick toggles. Having subtle floating settings toggles effectively voids the ever growing inconvenience of moving the fingers to uncomfortable and unnatural positions in pulling down the status bar caused by larger phones.

The sidebar and floating settings toggles are practical in concept and functionality, and they offer a polished UI. They aim to maximize the multitasking your device is capable of. OneQuick is compatible with Android versions 2.1 and newer, and can be downloaded for free from the XDA forums. If this interests you, check out the original thread for more details.
